I am listing this car for the actual owner here in California. It has a clean California title. This car has been fully restored to excellant condition.
This car has a non numbers matching crate 350V8 with edelbrock manifold, carb, headers, cam and dual exhaust (Est. 350HP) It runs perfectly, does not smoke or have any hesitations. It has a 2500 CFM electric fan, alluminum radiator, 125amp alternator upgrade, chrome valve covers and alot of chrome accents. This motor has been completely detailed as shown in the pictures. This car has factory power disc brakes, power steering, and even ice cold A/C that is still hooked up and works great.
This car originally came with a 4 speed (original M21 one has been sold already) and now it has been upgraded to a new Tremic TKO600 5 speed(with overdrive) and with a new Hayes heavy duty clutch and new drive shaft. Transmission/clutch and driveshaft have been done within the past 2,000 miles. It operates perfectly. All of the guages on the console as well as all the dash guages work with the exception of the speedometer. That will be fixed prior to end of auction. Even the clock works as it should. All of the guages are new.
The interior was completely redone and looks excellant. Correct Black Houndstooth seat covers, new carpet, headliner, door panels, center console etc. Everything was done and it all looks great. Seatbelts are also intact and functional. It also has tilt steering. In addition a Kenwood Cd player was added as well as an amp and sub in the trunk, and new deck speakers, system sounds great.
The exterior of this car is in excellant shape. It does not have any rust and only minimal bondo to smooth over when it was repainted. It looks like there has been only one repaint. The quarter panels appear to be original and everything lines up well and closes as it should. The headlight doors have new vacuum lines and they operate as they should. The trunk has zero rust and is in excellant condition with spare tire, jack, etc. The paint is show quality paint but has been used as a driver so there are a couple areas that had small rock chips that have been touched up with touch up paint. Very minor and only on a couple spots. They would not even show in the pictures. The stripes are painted on and it is a multi stage paintjob.
The undercarriage is perfect, no rust, dual exhaust, tight suspension, newer shocks, etc. The car also has a 12 bolt possi with 4.11 gears. It to works perfectly. In addition the car has rear drum and front disc brakes, sway bars and traction bars. The engine/undercarriage and trunk are all fully detailed and are in excellant condition. The tires are in great shape. The chrome is all there and also in good shape.
The only bad part on this car is it has a cracked front windshield that was done years ago. A new replacement window will be provided to the buyer of this car. There are no other issues, you can drive this can anywhere at anytime without any problems. It does not run hot and idles smoothly. The transmission and the rest of the drivetrain operate perfectly. This is a true RS/SS, built in early 69 with no X - code on the data plate. All of the body colors, and interior match the data plate as they should.
